Smiths Row is a registered charity, each year our Director, Alison Plumridge works closely with staff and trustees to raise funds for our events and community programme as well as the proposed work with the railways.
Income is generated from grants from government bodies, the EU, trusts and foundations and donations from individuals. In 2016 we are delighted to be
funded by Cabinet Office's Local Sustainability Fund delivered by Big Lottery Fund as well as small grants from The Architectural Heritage Fund, Babergh Mid-Suffolk Council and Arts Council England.
In-kind funding and volunteering by individuals and local businesses is also vital in supporting Smiths Row’s valuable work with artists, the local community and in developing our new site at Bury St Edmunds Railway Station.
Your help is always needed and very much appreciated . You too can be part of our exciting new rail project by:
- Becoming a Smiths Row Supporter.
- Becoming a Founder Patron of our Rail Project.
- Leaving the charity a legacy in your will.
