Rosie Grieve
Curator
Rosie studied BA(Hons) Fine Art at John Moores University, Liverpool graduating in 1999. Since that time she has worked in a variety of guises within the visual arts. Firstly, as a freelance gallery technician for a number of years in and around the North West of England. This involved working for numerous organisations, projects and events such as New Contemporaries and the Liverpool Biennial to name but a few. Moving on from this in 2005 she then went on to work as Exhibitions Co-ordinator at The Lowry Centre, Salford and most recently as a freelance Project Manager for the British Ceramics Biennial in Stoke-on-Trent. This rich mix of experience has led to a broad knowledge of contemporary art and craft and boundless enthusiasm for the sector and working with new audiences.
On a personal note, Rosie has a general interest in anthropology and world cinema, music and most recently... hula hooping. She has recently relocated to her home county of Suffolk having lived farther afield since departing for University.
Rosie joins the gallery in August 2010 just prior to the launch of the venue’s re-branding as Smiths Row.
